The Joy of Eating

Feel guilty about eating foods you like?

Learn to eat normally. Feed yourself reliably, give yourself permission to eat, and notice as you learn and grow. Finding the joy of eating is knowing that you can trust yourself to eat the right amount for you in this moment. This is called Eating Competence.

Developed by Ellyn Satter who is a dietitian, family therapist, author, and international leader in eating and feeding in both adults and children. Ellyn's approach to eating therapy is called Eating Competence. Research shows that when individuals have high eating competence, they are also healthier in other areas of their life. 

I received training in Eating Competence in March 2017.
